Mt. Hood Summer Paving Delays

by Liz Warren

Ready for summer and your trip up to the mountain? Be prepared for the potential paving delays starting on July 9th. Locals and visitors may have 20 minute delays between S.E. Cherryville Drive and the Salmon River. We all have experienced the ruts and potholes after this past winter so the paving will repair the damage and make the road safer.

Westbound traffic will have not slow downs on Sundays from 9 am to 10 pm. No work will be done on holidays or starting from noon on the day before. During our Hood to Coast relay all lanes will be open.

Traffic updates may be found at www.tripcheck.com

The MHFHA: Mt. Hood National Forest Homeowners Association, will be having their meeting at the Welches Elementary School this June 23rd, rain or shine, and it will be outdoors. The BBQ will be at noon and the meeting will start at 12:45 through 2:00. Bring your own stool or chair to sit on.

Memorial Day Weekend

by Liz Warren

If you are traveling along Highway 26 on the West end of Sandy you can't miss the incredible Veteran Traveling Memorial with hundreds of flags flying in the wind. The Field of Honor  memorial is run by the Veterans of Oregon. Each flag has the name of a vet who has served and each flag has flown over our nations Capitol. The Memorial travels all over the state and we are fortunate that Sandy has the honor of the traveling display this Memorial Day weekend.

If you would like to honor a vet, there is a lot of information on the Oregon Veteran Web Site on how to get a nameplate to honor your veteran for the memorial.

Thank you for your service VETS!

Five Star Professional Honor

by Liz Warren

I happy to say I was nominated as a 5 Star Agent for 2011 by my past clients and industry colleagues. Thank you to all who voted for me. I am honored to be a part of this select real estate group and humbled.

Five Star Professional Award for 2012                     Portland Monthly Magazine April 2012

The award winners appear in a special section in the April issue of Portland Monthly. Five Star Professional partnered with Portland Monthly to conduct research to identify a select group of real estate agents who are exceptional in both their ability and their commitment to overall satisfaction. Fewer than seven percent of the 10,000 Portland area residents holding real estate licenses were selected. A survey was provided to all Portland area residents who purchased a home over $100,000 within a 36-month period (June 2007 to June 2010), 7,000 subscribers of Portland Monthly and 250 mortgage and title companies.

Respondents were asked to evaluate real estate agents they knew through personal experience and to evaluate them based on nine criteria. Both negative and positive evaluations were included in the scoring. All qualified real estate agents were screened with the state Real Estate Commission’s database to verify that licenses were current and no disciplinary actions were pending. The final list was reviewed by a panel of local realty company executives, professional and trade association officers and others directly involved in housing-related businesses.

Five Star Professional provides localized, independent client satisfaction research on the performance of service professionals. Five Star Professional conducts research with consumers, and industry peers and leaders, to identify service professionals who score highest in overall satisfaction. Award candidates also undergo a thorough regulatory review.

Five Star Professional joins forces with city and regional magazines to make the research results available to consumers in more than 45 markets across the United States and now, Canada. Five Star Professional was founded in 2005 and is based in Minneapolis. For more information, go to: www.fivestarprofessional.com.
