Government Camp is an unincorporated community located on the South side of Mt. Hood. It’s located along the Mt. Hood Corridor near the intersection of Highway 35 and Highway 26. It’s located at an elevation of 3881 feet so the area gets plenty of snow in winter time.
Over the past ten years the area has gone through lots of renovations due to a Clackamas County urban renewal district. The area is considering incorporating but the debate is still on.
This area boasts several ski areas with Multorpor/Ski Bowl, Timberline, Summit Ski area, and Mt. Hood Meadows-only 25 more minutes up the road.
