Clackamas County to hold Saturday informational meeting on Welches flooding

   Clackamas County officials will hold an informational meeting Saturday morning to provide information and to answer questions about this week's flooding along the Sandy River that destroyed East Lolo Pass Road, damaged homes, and stranded 150 to 250 residents.
   The meeting is 9:30 a.m. at Welches Elementary School, 24901 E. Salmon River Road. The school is behind the Hoodland Fire District headquarters off U.S. 26.
   Commissioner Jim Bernard and officials from the county's roads, emergency management, and public and governmental affairs departments will attend.

   The meeting is open to the public. It is scheduled to take place prior to the scheduled Villages at Mt. Hood Town Hall meeting.
